The Pipestoppers division at Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT manufactures a variety of white Nylon Weld Purge Plugs™ suitable for weld purging of tubes and pipes up to 6 in. dia.
The plugs are made from engineering-quality nylon 6 in sizes from 0.5 to 6 in. They are manufactured with a standard seal made from natural rubber; for special applications, the seal can be made of silicone, nitrile, and Viton rubbers.
The plugs can be used as overnight stoppers to provide a barrier in pipeline activities, preventing foreign bodies from entering the line during downtime. Other applications include leak testing of pipework systems and sealing holes in castings and tanks.
