India''s Tata Steel and Australian mining services provider Thiess announced in a joint statement on April 22 that they had signed an agreement that they would cooperate in areas such as mineral exploration, resource assessment, mine planning, and providing comprehensive and competitive business solutions for the global mining industry.
Per the statement, Tata Steel would work closely with Thiess India Engineering Hub, which provides technical support for Thiess'' global operations, to offer services such as geotechnical and mine engineering, technical service delivery, business process automation, and learning and development services.
