Hindalco Industries Limited, an Indian aluminum and copper manufacturer, reported that its alumina output totaled 858,000 tons in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2021-2022 ending March 31, growing by 27% compared to the same period a year ago, benefited by the full capacity operated at its Utkal Alumina Refinery.
In the first three quarters, the output totaled 2.37 million tons, up by 18.5% compared to the same period a year ago.
The sales of alumina in the third quarter amounted to 100,000 tons, and Hindalco planned to increase the sales volume to 150,000 tons in the January-March quarter.
