According to the statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global crude steel production was around 152 million tons in September, decreasing by 0.3% from the previous month and 2.9% year on year. From January to September, the total global crude steel production was approximately 1.4 billion tons, which was up by 3.9% from the same period a year ago.
Among them, Asia produced in the neighborhood of 1 billion tons, increasing by 8.4% year on year. Europe Union (EU) produced around 123 million tons, down by 2.8% year on year. North America produced about 91 million tons, up by 0.3% year on year.
