According to the report, the European Steel Association (EUROFER) explained that the latest measure of free tariff quotas to limit the concentration ratio of import steel products from certain countries and drive the trade more stable.
The EUROFER stressed that this trade reformation has helped to improve the current situation, especially the domestic steel mainly ongoing sluggish demand. In addition, the EUROFER also suggested that the international community must alleviate the overcapacity and the crisis of overcapacity was the challenge in the current EU steel industry.
Some market participants stressed that the forum of G20 would still continue to address the relevant issue of steel overcapacity, prompting China, Indonesia, Iran, Russia or Turkey to stop manufacturing steel products and avoid causing harm to the global steel market indirectly.
