Recently Hoa Sen Group''s investments were not as expected, and planned to withdraw the environmental plan in Yên Bái province and the tourism plan in Bình Định province, also sell real estate located in Ho Chi Minh City, in order to solve the group''s financial problems.
Besides, Hoa Sen Group also reduced its inventory to save interest costs, and reorganized distribution system and suspended branches establishment to minimize other related expenses.
The group started to streamline human resources with ERP system and reduce personnel costs. Since the end of this June, its debt has been lowered to 12.7 trillion dong, a decrease of 3.1 trillion dong.
In 2017-2018, the group produced around 1.8 million tons of steel with revenue of 34 trillion dong, up by 13% and 32% year-on-year respectively, with a profit after tax of 410 billion.
