US’ rig number drops, while Canada’s keeps unchanged w-o-w-The 20th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to the report from Baker Hughes, as of the week ended May 17th, the number of US’ drilling rigs totaled 987 units, falling by 1 units from a week ago. Among them, the number of drilling rig for natural gas increased by 2 units week on week to 185 units; that for oil decreased by 3 units week on week to 802 units. The total number had a year-on-year decrease of 59 units.
In the same period, the number of Canadian drilling rigs kept flat at 63 units compared to the previous week, decreasing by 20 units from the same period a year ago.
