South Korea’s stainless steel HR plates exports reach over 70,000 tons in Aug-The 20th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

It was reported that South Korean stainless steel hot-rolled plates exports hit over 70,000 tons in August, which was the fourth months of exports over 70,000 tons.
The country exported 72,749 tons of stainless steel hot-rolled plates. Also, the export figure over 70,000 tons this year were January, May and June, which were 73,836 tons, 74,064 tons and 70,666 tons respectively.
However, the first time for stainless steel hot-rolled plates over 70,000 tons was January 2014 and the actual volume was 72,181 tons.
South Korea exported 471,308 tons of stainless steel hot-rolled plates in January to July this year. The exports to other Asian countries rose 19% to 349,050 tons. And the products to Latin American countries surged 626% to 12,657 tons year-on-year. Meanwhile, exports to North American countries dropped 46.6% year-on-year to 258 tons only.
