According to Ministry of Finance statistics, in June this year Japan imported 9933 tons of stainless steel scrap, rose 1.3% month on month. The import average price was at ￥120,939 /ton, an increase of 0.1% month on month.
Meanwhile, Taiwan imports of cheap products would offset from United States imports of expensive products, so prices still remained at a high level, while Singapore imports of cheap products switched into high quality products.
